Joint Declaration against war in Southern Ossetia

We as Young Socialists – Jusos Rhineland-Palatinate and the Russian Social Democratic Union of Youth support the peace sanction of any sort of conflicts and we condemn application of violence over any of the parties that are in confrontation, especially concerning the peaceful population, humanitarian and medical institutions. War is always the end of politics – conflicts have to be solved peacefully.

Joint resolution about military conflict in Southern Ossetia

On August, 6 and 7 shootings and bombings started in Southern Ossetia and on August, 8th Georgian military forces crossed the border, using different weapons to set up control under territory, that was not recognized by international community as independent, but is independent in fact and is under defense of peaceful forces mandated by UN.

‘Open Your Eyes’ is a film festival organized by young social-democrates for young people  to promote tolerance and fight xenophobia.

Amid a wave of hate crimes that has tarnished Russia’s cultural capital, a youth organization has taken up the challenge to retrieve St. Petersburg’s reputation by organizing a movie festival on tolerance in the week following the UN’s World Day Against Racism.

During the seminar the board meeting was hold, where we accepted all issues which were discussed before on our "virtual" board meetings (livejournal resourse) The seminar delegates were presented by representatives of  RSDUY regional branches.

The program included folloing points: 

RSDUY and Club of Peter-and-Paul Fortress hold round table "Common actions on youth rights defence". Participants discussed following issues: 

• How we can increase the culture of youth rights among young people?
• What present ed formats of  working with youth are more efective?
• What  are mechanisms of real youth participation  in civil society development?

В клубе им. Джерри Рубина в рамках социал-демократического кино-клуба состоялся кино-показ фильма Кеннета Лоуча «Ветер, качающий вереск». Организаторами кинопоказа выступили: Российский Социал-Демократический Союз Молодежи и Социалистическое левое действие.

Основными организаторами международной конференции выступили Институт глобализации и социальных движений и Левая партия Швеции. Соорганизатором выступил Российский социал-демократический союз молодёжи. РСДСМ представляли делегаты из Вологды, Великого Новгорода, Санкт-Петербурга и Москвы.
